Atlas was built inside a working Australian MSP because the alternative was a PSA, an RMM, a quoting tool, a documentation tool and a pile of glue. It carries the commercial half of the business as seriously as the technical half.
What usually hurts, and what happens instead
Left is the problem as people describe it. Right is what Atlas does about it.
The PSA and the RMM each hold half the truth, and neither is right.
One data model: a ticket knows the client, the devices, the agreement and the unbilled time, because they are the same records.
Quoting happens in a different tool from the catalogue, which is a different tool from the purchase order.
Quote from live distributor cost and stock, raise the purchase order against the supplier the line was costed from, and invoice from the same document.
Nobody can say which clients are actually profitable without an afternoon of exports.
Profitability costed against actual labour, per client, with drill-through to the records behind the number.
Renewals are found by accident, usually a week late.
A renewals calendar drawing on agreements, licences, domains, warranties and certificates, with a digest at 60, 30 and 7 days.
Every new tool is another per-technician fee and another integration to maintain.
One per-user price with every module included, and no per-integration or per-endpoint add-ons.
The parts that matter most here
Email in, tickets out, with the client and their devices attached.
One agent for Windows, macOS and Linux, with a support tray on all three.
Quotes priced from live supplier cost, not last year’s list price.
Invoices to Xero, payment status back, direct debit collected nightly.
Margin you can act on, not revenue you already knew.
Who this is not for
- An MSP with a heavily customised PSA process they need the tool to match exactly. Atlas ships opinionated defaults, and there is no workflow builder.
- A team that lives in a mobile app. Atlas is web-first with a support tray on the endpoint, not a technician app.
- Anyone who needs a documented migration path in from ConnectWise or Autotask. There is not one yet, and pretending otherwise would waste your quarter.
