The Cisco ASR 9910 contains two fan trays for redundancy, each with an LED indicator to show fan tray status. If a fan tray fails, it is possible to swap a single fan tray assembly while the system is operational. This fan tray features variable-speed fans that adjust based on temperature sensors distributed across key components, with two fan trays providing full redundancy and hot-swappable, easy-to-replace fans in the field.
